                                                                                   PRAYER, FORGIVENESS, HEALING

                                                                                                       Introduction

Forgiveness offers wings to prayer, to make its rising easy and its progress swift. Without its strong support it would be vain to try to rise above prayer’s bottom step, or even to attempt to climb at all. Forgiveness is prayer’s ally; it is sister in the plan for your salvation. Both must come to hold you up and keep your feet secure, your purpose steadfast and unchangeable. You live now with the illusion of death and the fear of God. The purpose of prayer and forgiveness is to rid you of the ideas of death and fear, and return your mind to the Heart of God.

Just as prayer is misused at the bottom of the ladder to ask for things, rather than as an offering and sharing of what you already have and for union with the Heart of God, so is forgiveness misused by those who misunderstand its purpose. There are two types of forgiveness: 1. forgiveness-to-destroy, which overlooks no sin, no  crime or no guilt that it can see and find and "love;" and 2. forgiveness-for-salvation which sees no error, selecting only the loving to look upon.

Forgiving your brother is the only happy dream in all the world, the only one that does not lead to death. Yet it is still a dream, because you cannot see sin in anyone but yourself; all else is projected outward onto a world that does not exist except in the illusion, because God did not create it. When sin is seen in your brother, it is more palatable, and thus easier to forgive; you are thus forgiven even as you appear to forgive your brother. So as your brother used to reflect your projections, your brother now becomes your savior, helping you to save yourself from your illusions of projections, your false perceptions and judgments.

Forgiving your brother, therefore, is a circular route to reach the truth, which is necessary because of your fear of reaching the truth directly. Forgiveness is the means established by God, to rise above the unreality of sin and witness the truth of love. As forgiveness progresses, truth draws nearer, and then, one day, voilà, you are home.

So behold the greatest help (forgiveness) that God ordained to be with you until you reach to Him. Illusion’s end will come with forgiveness. Yet unlike the timeless nature of its sister, prayer, forgiveness has an end. Forgiveness becomes unneeded when the rising up is done. Once you reach the top rung of the ladder of prayer, there will be no more desire for unforgiveness, therefore no more need for forgiveness. At the top of the ladder there is union with the Heart of God. From there TRUE PRAYER, joining in love and thankfulness with the Father, continues throughout all eternity. And where His Love IS has all else been forgotten.

Yet now, forgiveness has a purpose beyond which you cannot go, nor have you need to go. Accomplish this and you have been redeemed. Accomplish this and you have been transformed. Accomplish this and you will save the world! Amen
